| Class Descriptions Beginning socks: for the beginner or as a refresher. Learning to make socks gives you 5 or 6 basic skills that you will use the rest of your knitting life. Bring worsted weight yarn, size 5 or 6 or 7 double pointed needles and a few safety pins. A step by step booklet is included. Saturday, April 12 at 10:30, and Sat. June 21 B P $35 Advanced Socks: make a Tyrolean sock Saturday April 26 10:30 $25 ADV P Beaded Scarf: Saturday 10:30 May 3, or June 5 B P Intro to Double-knitting! Learn to knit both sides of something at the same time!. Sunday April 27 at 12:30 $25 Intro to Fair Isle: “when two or three colors are worked repeatedly across a row” This is Sandra’s favorite way to knit. She promises you will love it too. Bring worsted weight yarn in 4 to 8 colors and size 7 or 8 circular needles. Saturday June 7 at 10:30 $25 T INT Introduction to Cables: how to read cable patterns and graphs Sat June 28 at 10:30 $25 T INT Intro to Intarsia: Knitting with colors, “picture knitting”. It is beautiful and not as difficult as it looks. Bring worsted weight yarn in 4 or 5 colors and size 7 or 8 needles, 24 in circs are best. Saturday, May 24 $25 T INT Nancy shawl, a wonderful shaped shawl, VERY easy, Fridays at 1 April 18, or 25. may 16 or 23 B P $20 Every Tuesday from 1:30 to 3, Sandra is available to help you with finishing projects. Cost is determined by difficulty of project and amount of work involved. Every Wednesday from 1:30 to 3, Sandra is available to HELP with reading patterns. Cost: EVENING KNITTING has returned. Once a month Sandra will be here from 5:30 to 7:30 for a skill building lesson at 5:30 and Open Knitting till 7:30 $10 Wednesdays, April 16, May 21 and not in June Please call to let us know you are coming. |
| a note regarding class prices. the amount listed is the teacher fee. If Sandra or I are teaching the class it also means unlimited access to us. well, 'unlimited' in the sense of when we're in the shop. I have talked to other shop owners and they generally charge students $30 an hour! please pay the teacher fee directly to the teacher, cash is appreciated. |
